What is a zine?
A zine (pronounced like a shortened form of “magazine”) is a collection of artwork and fanfiction, brought together in one collected work to celebrate a media or theme.
What are the zine specifications?
This zine is an A5 sized SFW zine. We are a physical project with merchandise!
Are AUs allowed?
Yes, AUs are allowed.
Are spoilers allowed?
Yes, spoilers are allowed.
Is this zine for-charity or for-profit?
This zine is for profit!
How will contributors be compensated?
We aim to compensate each contributor with the full bundle! If we fail to break-even, we will try to either offer partial compensation to the best of our ability, or offer the option to buy any part of the bundle at production price. If the sales go well and generate profit beyond what's needed to offer full bundles, the leftover amount will be split evenly amongst all of our contributors!
Who is allowed to apply?
Contributors must be 18 and older to apply and participate in this zine.
Is a Discord account required to participate?
Discord is our key method of communication. If you do not have a Discord account and wish to participate, you will be expected to create one.
Do I need previous zine experience to apply?
Absolutely not! Everyone starts somewhere, and we welcome newcomers to apply.
Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes, you’re more than welcome to apply for more than one position, provided you’re confident you can handle the increased workload.
Note: This may change depending on the number of applications we receive.

Guidelines
General Guidelines
◇ Accepted contributors are expected to create new, unique pieces for this zine. Evidence of AI, art tracing, or plagiarism will result in disqualification and/or removal from the project.
◇ Contributors are expected to regularly communicate with us via our Discord server. A link will be provided upon acceptance.
◇ Contributors are expected to follow the rules established in our server at all times. This includes being respectful of others and not participating in hateful or discriminatory actions of any kind.
◇ Our zine is SFW with only mildly suggestive content allowed. That said, we have no interest in stifling creativity or policing what contributors may produce outside of the zine. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to apply, though we kindly ask that samples remain SFW if possible!Artist Guidelines
◇ Artists are expected to make either 1 page illustration, a spread (2 pages), or a comic (up to 4 pages) with color and a background. Artists may also work with a writer to produce spot illustrations for a story, which are optional (in addition to their page) and to be decided upon in the server.To apply, artists must provide the following in their application:
◇ 3 samples that best display their artistic ability
◇ A Death Note sample is not required, but highly encouraged.
◇ A portfolio of additional works
◇ Google Drive links are preferred if possibleMerch Artist Guidelines
◇ Merch artists are expected to create 2-3 unique merch pieces for this zine. Merch assignments will be up to the mods discretion.To apply, merch artists must provide the following in their application:
◇ 3 samples that best display their artistic ability
◇ Merch-specific samples are not required, but highly encouraged. Physical merch proofs are more than welcome if you have them!
◇ A Death Note sample is not required, but highly encouraged.
◇ A portfolio of additional works
◇ Google Drive links are preferred if possibleWriter Guidelines
◇ Writers are expected to create 1 new writing piece (1.5k to 3k words).To apply, writers must provide the following in their application:
◇ 3 samples (1k-3k words) that best represent their work. Samples will be judged on grammar, style, flow, and characterization.
◇ Excerpts of longer fics are acceptable for application samples as long as they fit the word count
◇ At least one complete sample is preferred if possible
◇ Death Note samples are not required, but highly recommended for characterization purposes. Lawlight pieces in particular are not required, but highly encouraged
◇ A portfolio of additional works
◇ Google Drive links are preferred if possible
